Brow Lift a surgical procedure that elevates the brows. Brows will descend (brow ptosis) over time and follow gravity just like anything else. When this happens, there is the loss of the natural, gentle arch to the brows.
Mild brow ptosis can often be improved with Botox® treatments. However, when the ptosis is more pronounced, surgical intervention is necessary to lift the brows. Patients with brow ptosis typically experience increased heaviness in their eyelids, especially around the outer half of the eyes, and may consider an eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) to address this issue. It’s important to recognize that in such cases, an eyelid lift without adjusting the brow position can lead to suboptimal results. An experienced surgeon will understand the need to correct the brow position concurrently for the best outcome.
Our Preferences:
We prefer to use a gliding brow lift with hemostatic sutures. This is a newer technique that is effective, safe and less invasive.
