Skin cancer is an abnormal growth of skin cells that can develop from precancerous growths or “sunspots” called actinic keratoses. These are rough scaly raised growths ranging in colour from brown to red. They generally develop in areas that have been exposed to the sun, but can also form in places that don't normally get sun exposure. Treatment is dependent on diagnosis but there are various options available.
Note: Treatment for skin cancer is subject to analysis by a dermatologist.
