Biography

Dr. Kerry Atkins is a board-certified Dermatologist and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada. She has completed 13 years of post-secondary education, including a B.Sc. (Hon) in Exercise and Health Physiology, a Doctorate in Medicine, and five years of Dermatology Residency education at the University of Alberta. Dr. Atkins has received multiple academic and athletic awards and scholarships, including the Undergraduate Prize in Dermatology. She successfully completed her medical training while raising her four young children. Before pursuing medicine, Dr. Atkins was an accomplished National Team athlete in Artistic (Synchronized) Swimming, winning many World and National Championship medals. She was also a creative team member and performer in the highly acclaimed Las Vegas show Le Reve, further enhancing her eye for aesthetics and beauty. Dr. Atkins cares for patients of all ages for their medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology needs. She has a keen interest in skin cancer, especially melanoma, and developed considerable experience working with leading experts in the multidisciplinary melanoma clinic throughout her residency. Dr. Atkins strives to achieve optimal skin health and outcomes for every patient. She is a strong advocate for positive aging, self-esteem, and natural beautiful results with aesthetic dermatology.
