Biography
Dr. Zarbafian is a double board-certified and fellowship-trained dermatologist with advanced expertise in medical, cosmetic, and procedural dermatology. Hailing from Vancouver, 'Dr. Z' enhanced his aesthetic expertise with a transformative year at the acclaimed center Cosmetic Laser Dermatology in San Diego. His expertise in aesthetics spans across neuromodulators, hyaluronic acid injectables, biostimulators, various other injectables, body contouring and tightening, microneedling with radiofrequency, intense pulsed light, and over 50 types of lasers, including both non-ablative and fully ablative laser resurfacing. Dr. Zarbafian's medical journey took off at the University of British Columbia, where he gained early admission to medical school prior to completing his undergraduate studies. During his residency at UBC, he distinguished himself as Chief Resident and published numerous research articles in top-tier journals. He is particularly passionate about the importance of skin surveillance and the early detection of skin cancers. He continues to contribute to the advancement of dermatological science by imparting his extensive knowledge as a Clinical Instructor at UBC and having served as a Sub-Investigator on over 14 clinical trials.
